Legal Structure
The Max Planck Society is a non-profit research organisation, which is organized as a registered association. All of the institutes and facilities of the Max Planck Society are largely autonomous in terms of organization and research, but as a rule have no legal capacity of their own.

Einstein Online is committed to protecting the privacy of its website visitors. All information gathered from you in connection with your use of this website (the “Einstein Online”) is governed by the following privacy policy.

By their nature, electronic communication protocols require our servers and your computer to share information about each other. Some of this information could potentially be used to draw conclusions about your identity. Einsteni Online makes no attempt to identify its individual users; in particular, we do not systematically collect names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses or other personally identifying information of Einstein Online users, unless you voluntarily send it to us by contacting us to request additional information. In the latter case, the information we obtain from you will only be used to reply to your request.

Visits to Einstein Online  are logged in order to derive statistical information (number of hits and visits for the site and for individual pages, broken down by country, where possible) about Einstein Online usage. As part of the logging process, an anonymized version of the IP address used by your computer, as well as further technical data pertaining to the data transver, are recorded. Data is evaluated only for statistical purposes in anonymized form. No personal user profiles are created.

Einstein Online uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer. Session cookies are used within the scope of this Internet session for technical reasons. This data is deleted at the latest when you close your browser.
